18 – Embodying Your Sacred Sensuality

Explore your sacred sensuality through your 5 senses. What are you most drawn to?

  • Sight – what colors, shapes, form, landscapes, art is most beautiful and appealing to you?
  • Sound – what natural sounds, types of music, instruments or silence are you most drawn to?
  • Smell– what smells do you love? what particular flowers, trees, earth, essential oils, foods?
  • Taste– what tastes so good to you? what food brings you the most satisfaction as you’re eating it?
  • Touch – what feels good to your body? what textures, materials and substances do you like against your skin? what type of movement feels good to your body?

Practice creating experiences for yourself that are pleasing to your senses. For example:

  • Walk barefoot in the grass.
  • Take a bath or go swimming.
  • Massage your skin with coconut oil.
  • Put on music and dance in whatever way feels good.
  • Do yoga without a routine, just following the impulse of your body.
  • Participate in an ecstatic dance group.
  • Add smells to your home that you enjoy, such as essential oils.
  • Buy flowers that smell and/or look beautiful to you.
  • Do something to bring more beauty into your living environment.
  • Surround yourself in colors you are drawn to.
  • Wear clothes that you feel good wearing.
  • Eat foods you love and savor the moment.
  • Listen to the sound of ocean waves crashing before you go to bed.
  • Give yourself a foot massage.
  • And so on…

Notice the effect on you that these experiences have.
